Carrollton Public Library offers a variety of technology equipment for loan to meet patrons’ needs. These specific items are available for patrons who have had an active account for at least 45 days, and have made 5 successful check-ins and check-outs without issue.

HOTSPOT PROGRAM

The Carrollton Public Library is pleased to lend free Franklin Mobile WiFi Hotspot Kits (hotspots) to patrons to expand their Internet access and use of the library’s many digital resources. A mobile WiFi Hotspot is a small device you can use to connect a wireless-enabled device, such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet, to the Internet. Hotspots are portable, so you can connect up to fifteen (15) days per checkout to the Internet anywhere service is covered by the AT&T LTE network within the United States.

Hotspot policy states that:

• Library patrons should have a good standing household checkout history, with no balance due.
• Only one Hotspot or iPad per household.
• New Library patrons: checkout restrictions apply.
• New patrons will have a 45 day waiting period, during which they should successfully check out and return 5 times to be eligible for this item

T-Mobile iPads

The Carrollton Public Library is pleased to loan free T-Mobile iPads to patrons to increase their access to the Internet and the library’s many digital resources. iPads are portable, so you can stream videos and music, send files and pictures, and access the Internet anywhere in the United States where T-Mobile network coverage is available.

• Library patrons should have a good standing household checkout history, no balance due.
• Only one iPad or Hotspot per household.
• New Library patrons: checkout restrictions apply.
