The Carrollton Public Library is pleased to loan free Mobile WiFi Hotspot Kits (hotspots) to patrons to increase their access to the Internet and the library’s many digital resources. A mobile WiFi Hotspot is a small device you can use to connect a wireless enabled device, such as a laptop, smartphone or tablet to the Internet. Hotspots are portable, so you can connect up to sixteen (16) devices to the Internet anywhere service is covered by the AT&T LTE network within the United States.
Call the library at 660-542-0183 to check out other electronic devices available for check outs for local patrons. Restrictions apply.
Hotspot policy states that:
- Library patron’s should have a good standing household checkout history, no balance due.
- Only one Hotspot per household.
- New Library patrons check out restrictions apply.
- New patron will have a 45 day waiting period in which they should successfully check out and return 5 times to be able to check out a hotspot.
This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
