Tumble Book Library
Through Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funding, the Missouri State Library is able to provide statewide access to TumbleBooksLibrary Deluxe for public libraries and their patrons. The basic TumbleDeluxe subscription provides a collection of 550 animated, talking picture books for children in preschool through grade 3. Access to the resource is available in the library or remotely. The books are streamed through the web page, not downloaded. Audio can be turned on or off so that children can practice reading, and the books are accompanied by educational games, puzzles and songs. Part of the collection is in Spanish and French. This resource expands the statewide Racing to Read early literacy initiative launched in March 2014 to help ensure children are ready to read when they begin school.
